Approach

A draft to review, not a finished truth.

Decklyn creates from what you give it and marks everything as a draft. It is honest about what it is and what it is not. Here is what that means in practice.

How Decklyn works

Useful, honest, and clear about its limits.

These are not disclaimers hidden in the footer. They shape what Decklyn produces and how it behaves in every deck it builds.

Decklyn drafts. You decide.

Everything Decklyn produces is a starting draft for you to review. It writes slide copy and a narration script from the topic you give it, marks the output as a draft, and leaves the editing and verification to you. You own the final deck.

Not a source of truth.

Decklyn writes from the topic you describe. It does not fabricate statistics, citations, or expert claims and present them as real. Any figures in a generated deck should be checked before you present them. The job of a domain expert is yours, not Decklyn's.

Your content is yours.

Your decks belong to you. You can export them in full or delete them at any time, with no friction and no dark patterns. Decklyn does not sell your content or use it to train public AI models.

Your API keys stay on the server.

OpenAI and ElevenLabs keys never reach your browser. All provider calls go through server routes. Nothing sensitive is in client-side code or responses.

On the draft stance

Why we mark everything as a draft to review.

A language model writes from patterns. Given a topic and an audience, it can produce a compelling outline and tight slide copy in seconds. What it cannot do is guarantee the accuracy of a specific figure, a company name, a date, or a cited fact. It does not have access to the internet during generation, and its knowledge has a cutoff.

So Decklyn takes a clear stance: everything it produces is a draft. Slide copy, narration script, image prompts, the lot. You review it, correct anything that needs correcting, and present it with confidence because you have verified it. The AI does the busywork. The judgment is yours.

This is not a legal disclaimer buried in fine print. It is the product philosophy. Decklyn is built to make the drafting fast, the editing easy, and the result yours to stand behind.

Example slide note

“Decklyn has drafted this slide from the topic you gave. The figure on line three is a reasonable estimate for context, but you should verify it before presenting. The rest of the copy is ready to review and edit.”

Decklyn does not present estimates or approximations as verified facts.

Your content and data

Plain answers to the questions people ask most.

Who can see my decks?

Your decks are private to your account. Decklyn staff can access account data only when needed to support you, under strict internal controls. Your deck content is sent to OpenAI and ElevenLabs to generate slides and narration, under data processing agreements that prohibit those providers from using your content to train public models.

Can I export or delete my decks?

Yes, anytime. Export a JSON copy of all your decks from Settings, or delete individual decks and your account at any time. Deletion removes your data from our systems within 30 days. No hoops, no waiting period, no dark patterns.
