Your data belongs to you.
Decklyn stores what it needs to run your decks and deliver your presentations. Here is exactly what that is, and how to export or delete everything from Settings.
Four things, plainly stated.
Nothing extra. If Decklyn does not need something to do its job, it does not store it.
Your account
Email address, display name, a hashed (not readable) password, and your current plan. Payment card numbers are held by our payment processor (Stripe) and are never stored by Decklyn.
Your decks
The outline, per-slide copy, and narration script for every deck you have made. Stored so you can revisit, edit, and share them.
Generated slide images
The AI-generated visual for each slide in your decks. Stored with your deck so the images load instantly when you open it.
Narration audio
The AI-generated voiceover for each deck. Stored as audio files attached to your deck. You can delete individual decks and all their associated audio at any time.
Export your data
Download a complete copy of everything Decklyn holds about you at any time. The export is a single JSON file that includes your account details, every deck outline and slide copy, and metadata for all generated images and audio. No special software needed to open or read it.

Delete decks or your account
Delete individual decks from your library without touching anything else. Or delete your entire account and all associated data. Account deletion removes everything within 30 days as deletion propagates through backups. We retain billing records as required by law, but not your deck content.
Delete a deck in Settings / My decks. Delete your account in Settings / Your data / Delete account.
Who can see your data.
Your data is visible to you. Parts of Decklyn's software read it when needed, for example to load and display your decks. Decklyn staff can access account data only when needed to support you, under strict internal access controls.
Two external providers process data on Decklyn's behalf: OpenAI for the language and image models, and ElevenLabs for voice narration. Both operate under data processing agreements that prohibit using your data to train public models. Read the full detail on the Security page.
Your data is never sold.
Decklyn does not sell your personal information or your deck content to any third party. No data broker, advertiser, or analytics vendor receives your slide copy, generated images, or account information.
Your deck content belongs to you. Export or delete it at any time from Settings, with no waiting period and no friction.
